The Total Flex™ L features a set of multi-directional seats (each with 5 settings). The seats adjust quickly and easily to ergonomically and correctly position and align your body for safe and effective exercising. Whereas the multi-directional seats allow you to exercise in a seated or lying down position, with the aid of the foot plate, you can perform a range of exercises standing upright, such as leg, hip, and buttock exercises. Standing upright, you can also perform highly effective aerobic and fat burning exercises.
Resistance (or weight) is a key factor to achieve exercise results and reducing body fat. In fact, to exercise means that your body must work against resistance. It is well known that resistance training, such as offered by the Total Flex™ L, is proven to be the most effective way burn away access body fat and to achieve a trim, firm and slim body.
To generate resistance, a set of “power pods”, carrying resistance bands, is integrated with one of the multi-directional seats. When adjusting the seat, the resistance adjusts accordingly and in tandem with the seats, making it possible to effectively align the resistance to the targeted muscles for each individual exercise. Since muscles tend to contract along the axis of their fibers, alignment for effective exercising means matching the direction of the resistance in direct opposition to the pull of the fibers of the targeted muscles which is achieved with the Total Flex™ L. This is called “synchronized resistance” - one of the reasons why working out with the Total Flex™ L is so effective.
The resistance bands are factory tested for long-life durability and should last for several years.
Note: Replacement bands are available and are easy to fit.
Each set of power pods (fitted to one of the Total Flex™ L seats) contains three, color-coded resistance bands, with each band varying in resistance (grey band light; black band medium; red band heavy). This allows for 7 levels of graduated resistance - from light to heavy. By combining the resistance bands in different ways, the level of resistance can be adjusted to match your specific fitness level, the strength of different muscle groups, and the improvement in strength of muscles over time. The resistance bands deliver progressive variable resistance through the full range of exercise motion, making each workout intense and effective. In addition, the full range exercise movement improves muscle and joint flexibility.
The human body moves in multiple planes - frontal, horizontal & median planes. To exercise the body whilst moving in these 3-D planes, the Total Flex™ L is fitted with a set of multi-directional pulleys to allow the handles (or ankle cuffs) attached to the resistance bands, to apply resistance whilst the body is moved in any of these planes, allowing for invigorating and effective exercising. Also, with the Total Flex™ L the movement of different sports (such as tennis, swimming, golf, karate, and skiing) can be simulated.
Unlike conventional, bulky and outdated home gyms that take up much of your living space, once you have completed your exercise program, the Total Flex™ L folds compactly in seconds. Returns
Our 30 day money back guarantee entitles you to a full refund of the purchase price, less the shipping and handling charges. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, please log into our customer service portal at support.thane.ca to access your account and submit a return request to obtain an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization ). You will receive an email from Thane Customer Service within 1 to 2 days with the RMA number and return instructions. Once you have received your RMA number, please return all items in its original condition and packaging. When returning your order, please ensure that you use an insured carrier to return your order.
Please note that Thane is not responsible for any return shipped charges incurred to return your order. Once your order has been received at our fulfillment center, the refund will be processed. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for the credit to appear on your credit card. Refunds do not include shipping and handling or assembly fees and trial fee payments. Refunds for returned orders are processed weekly. Warranty
Should your product prove to be defective within one year from the date of purchase, please call our Customer Care Team. Under this warranty, Thane Direct will repair or replace any parts found to be defective. This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in Canada. This warranty extends only to personal use, and does not extend to any product that has been used for which it is not intended. Your warranty does not apply to the following:
Accident, misuse, abuse or neglect.
Improper or inadequate assembly or maintenance.
Unauthorized modification or commercial use.
Improper packaging in return transit.
Normal wear and tear.
Unsupervised use by children under 18 years of age.
Although required replacement parts are available to you at no cost during your one year warranty, they are subject to a $14.95 shipping and handling fee. After expiration of the warranty, the cost of parts will be the responsibility of the customer.
